The birthday went fine yesterday and the only glitch was when Isaac couldn't enjoy his gifts until today as his friend was over for the night. If allowed to use anything he received Nate would have been ignored. He has enjoyed them today though. I have been thankful that he rested well enough that we haven't paid for the "gift" of letting him have a sleepover!

We chose to skip the all church picnic today as none of us really wanted to go since we don't do the whole potluck scene with our food sensitivities and diet plans. Instead we went to Subway and then came home.

Once home I got ready for the gym and headed out. Got a good workout done and then came home and watched my next Beth Moore video for the "Living Beyond Yourself" study I am doing. Now I'm set for my daily homework. I will be honest...I've not done well at the daily thing, but it is my goal for September. The days go so much better when I stick with that discipline.

Had a call that my dad fell in his room this afternoon, but he said he was okay other than the jarring of his back aggravating the arthritis. With his delusions he is sure "those people" have done this to hurt him. The delusions have increased again since he learned about the lung cancer. I am thankful he wasn't hurt worse and also for Hospice as it meant I did not have to spend 3-4 hours in the ER checking things out.

Tonight I am guessing we will watch a movie and just hang out. I think that sounds like a good plan before the week gets going.

Tomorrow... Nutritionist, school and Isaac's physical therapy.

Glad to hear the sleepover went well and that your Dad's injury was not worse. Hospice seems to be the right place for him.

Glad you got your bible study in as well.

I hope this upcoming week is good all around!

Sounds like you had a nice weekend except for your dad falling. Hope that he's doing okay.

Yes, please give yourself permission to slow down and chill out. It can be very hard sometimes to do that, but it really is a must, so we can continue on taking care of not only others, but you!

It is difficult for your Dad. Sounds like the cancer diagnosis has really stressed him even more.
