Thursday, 9/3/15

Today was calm! School was the first thing accomplished and it went smoothly with both kiddos. I then headed to the gym as it was only 11:15 and then stopped at Subway on the way home and picked up sandwiches for everyone. Nice treat and NOT on my program. After lunch I enjoyed watching House Hunters while I worked at my desk. Getting things done from last night's client meeting and starting paperwork for the new one I'll be meeting with next Friday. I am really excited about this new "work from home" job I'm building!

Isaac did much better today until about 4 p.m., but he did not have anything much to do around here as his consequence was "big". Favorite toys and books gone. No playing with the neighbor kids. No electronics. No TV. Just "no." At 4 he got caught "eavesdropping/spying" on his sister and all I did was tell him that was not appropriate behavior and to come downstairs. He refused. So by the time he finally came down the stairs I sent him back to the yard to his spot where he was to sit doing nothing until his dad released him back to the house. He did know it was because he talked back to me, but I could tell there was zero remorse. He keeps asking his dad when he gets some things back and thankfully the answer continues to be, "I don't know."

Enjoyed doing my bible study outside on the back patio after supper. Love the cool temps we had today! Today's study was on "joy" and several different aspects of that fruit of the spirit. A very good study for where I am right now.

Tomorrow.... Isaac has the morning out with his habilitative worker so Maegann and I are going to breakfast and then to the grocery store before coming home to do some school and cleaning. Thinking I might be able to sneak to the gym about 12:30. Maegann has an eye appointment at 2 as she's been having major eye headaches from reading and then in the evening Jenn is coming for supper and games. So another nice day on paper.
