The morning at worship was very nice. Our senior pastor was gone and he worked with the associate interning pastor on putting together a "sermon" that individuals from within the church family offered. I was one of those individuals asked to share. I dislike that sort of thing, but I knew it was for a good cause and we do have a story to share as we attended, left for 9 years and came back. The question we were asked to address was "What does this church family mean to you...or what are you thankful for about this church family?" I couldn't get any of the rest of the family to go up with me so I just shared their individual answers and added some other info for myself. Glad it is done. The other two guys that were asked for first hour were so good. Great and funny speakers. Glad I was in the middle!
Starting a 10 week study on the Beatitudes in Sunday School and the associate interning pastor is leading it. I am looking forward to it. He may be young (late 20s) but he is a good teacher!
Once home I got dressed for the gym and headed out with my new "toy" in hand. I enjoyed listening to some of my favorite upbeat Christian music while I was on those weight machines! Nice addition to my time at the gym! I need to get a few more songs though so my shuffle won't get tiring! Thankfully I can use the radio too so Air1 is set to play.
Speaking of the gym.... I think I've done fairly well with everything I've had going on in August with my dad, co-op prep, support broker tests, homeschool, etc. Here are the stats:
I didn't know how many times I'd made it to the gym in August and 13 sounded like a solid number to me! Nice to see I already have 3 days in for September and we're only 6 days into the month!
This afternoon I took Maegann to the grocery store with me so we are set for what is needed for the week. I've got my meal plan in place for two weeks and particularly so I know what is planned for Monday the 14th as that is the first day back to the homeschool co-op and I need a plan! Last year we were spoiled by Maegann being in the cooking class and bringing home a meal for us...not this year! So my first thought is....crockpot Monday's or an easy bbq.
Once home from the store I chose email and Sparking and now I plan to listen to Beth Moore's next video lesson so I'm ready to go for the week in the workbook. I am prayerfully considering a small group at church for an evening out with adults, but it will depend on the day/time they are offered. I'm struggling a bit as I'm trying to reactivate a bit in the church family and Tim is just the opposite. Not really caring about their activities. Not sure what is up with that as he was always the one volunteering us for stuff over the years.
Tonight I plan to get out my coloring book and pencils again and we will finish up the Parent Trap. I might actually trick them all and put the newer one and start from the beginning.
Tomorrow.... holiday! Maegann is going to her friend Dakota's for several hours, Tim is going to start tearing into the engine on the truck to get it fixed before the weather turns bad on us and I don't know what I'll be doing. I do have a small list of things I'll probably tackle.
**Sponsor kids letters and scanning in their photos and recent letters.
**Update our wills.
**Gym routines (still haven't gone through the trainers notes completely and built my own circuits)
**Help Maegann with her Blog for Asia once she is home.
**Triple check everything for co-op so I don't have to do anything except send one email mid-week and then just take the box to the van the morning of the 14th.
**Might go buy the paint for the stair "rail" that needs a more plastic look to it again.
