Hi Sparkers: Full disclosure here - my weight is up, and it's not where it is stated but I keep it there because I'm headed back and it reminds me of what is very possible.
I have an intensive weekend coming up - no, I wouldn't say I'm ready for it, so I will walk as much as I need to but today's workout was good. The race is called the Aching Quad and they run a 5K Friday night, a 1 mile at 7 the next morning, followed by a 2 mile race at 8:30 and then another 5K that night. Today's workout, I walked for 5:30 minutes, then moved continuously for 25 minutes, walked 2 minutes, ran a mile, walked 2 minutes, then ran the remaining equivalent of 3.2 (minus warm-up and cool down) and then walked home. The time I had is better than any of the times that I had 10 lbs lighter, so something good is happening with my fitness. I really look forward to running with all the extra weight gone!
I have an urge to vent about the new mobile app, but I know they want you to buy their tracker and that would work well with this new application, but that's not happening. I think I'm doing this weight loss without one of those. You still have to do the work whether you have a tracker or not.
