September 11, 2015 TRADING TRUTH FOR LIES

Anyone who has walked the earth has experienced something God has created. We, ourselves, are God’s creation. God has made His truths obvious to us all and we can see who He is in His word and in His creations. Still, however, there are people who refuse the truth. They want to believe the ways of the world are right and that anything goes. The trade God’s truth for the world’s lies. We can see God in all things so why can’t people believe His truths and follow Him?

Romans 1:19-20 “They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.” (NLT)

Romans 1:19-20 “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” (KJV)

Dear Lord, we know there are those who choose to follow the lies of the world rather than follow You. We know there are those who have traded the truth about You for the ways of the world. We pray for those people. We pray You will help us to be a godly example to them and show them Your love. We know You are worthy of eternal praise and we love You. Help us to resist the temptations of the world and completely stay focused on You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we lose focus on God’s truths, we are susceptible to giving in to the lies of the world.

It takes a daily walk with God to remain in His truths.

God deserves and is worthy of our praise. Today. Tomorrow. Always. Forever.

God has made His truths obvious in His creations and in His word.

Let’s be sure we don’t lose focus of what God’s truths are and use every opportunity to share His truths with others.

Those who choose to trade the truth about God for a lie are simply looking for something that will give them temporary pleasure.

Romans 1:25 “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.” (NLT)

Focus: Be careful not to fall in the trap of the ways of the world and lose focus on God’s truths.
