September 16, 2015 STRONG IN GOD’S TRUTH
We know people who are strong in God’s truth. They stand by His truths. They are persistent in believing in Him despite what is going on their lives. God’s truth is real. God’s truth is living. God’s truth is able to help us through our lives each and every day. When we see others who are strong in God’s word, we need to realize He put them in our lives for a reason. We can learn from them. We can lean on them. And as they share God’s truths with us, we can thank God for them and their strength in His truths.
Colossians 2:7 “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” (NLT)
Colossians 2:7 “Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” (KJV)
Dear Lord, thank You for those who are strong in Your truth. Thank You for their dedication. Thank You for their persistence. Thank You for their loyalty. Help us to learn from them and draw closer to You. We want to know more about Your truths and Your promises. We want to be strong in Your truth and be a godly example to others. Show us Your way today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we see others who are strong in God’s word, we are to ask God how we can learn from them.
When others are strong in God’s truths, we can know God put them our lives for a reason.
Those who are persistent in God’s truth despite what is happening around them are truly followers of God.
God wants us to learn from those who are strong in His truths so we can be a better witness to others.
We are to learn from those who are strong in God’s truths and learn to stand our ground in God’s word.
Ephesians 6:14 “Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.” (NLT)
Focus: Lean on God’s truths. Look for godly people to learn from. Study God’s word and be strong in His truths.
