September 20, 2015 THOSE WHO DO WRONG
Sometimes people have the right words to say but are intentionally leading us down the wrong path. They are attempting to get us to trust them to get what they want. Once they gain our trust, they begin their plan to coerce us to do what they want us to do. Those people find out what others want to hear and tell them things that will help them gain trust. Those people practice ungodliness and do not follow God’s word. We are to be careful not to follow those who spread false teachings.
Isaiah 32:6 “For fools speak foolishness and make evil plans. They practice ungodliness and spread false teachings about the LORD. They deprive the hungry of food and give no water to the thirsty.” (NLT)
Isaiah 32:6 “ For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.” (KJV)
Dear Lord, we pray for those people who are just in it for themselves. We pray for the selfish people who want others to follow them for the wrong reasons. We pray for those who are believing and trusting them. We know if people are not following You, they are going down the wrong path. Show us how we can help both the evil and the good people in this world know and follow only You so we are all focusing on You and living in obedience to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
If we want to know what is right to do, we need to go to God and ask so we aren’t lead astray by those who practice evil.
God knows the hearts of everyone. He can help us discern who is truly one of His disciples.
Proverbs 6:19 “(The Lord hates) a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.” (NLT)
People who attempt to gain trust from others by doing wrong cause others to lose trust in everyone.
Those who are living lies will not be able to stand for long. Because God’s truth will reveal who they really are.
Isaiah 29:21 “Those who convict the innocent by their false testimony will disappear.” (NLT)
Focus: Pray for those who do wrong for their own selfish gain.
