Yesterday was the Canada Army Run ½ marathons. A friend and I walk the 21K. We were hoping to come in under the 3:30 mark and both of us did. My time was 3:18:32 and she had 3:23. For her it was her first such event and she came in at the last minute with no training. She told me up front it was a one-time thing and not to expect her to repeat. This morning she tells me she wants to do it again and train for it this time. I think she surprised herself. I also thing she caught that feeling when you cross the finish line and realize “Hey! I did it!” There really is nothing like that feeling. It can be addictive.
