Have your weight loss stalled? Easy Weight Loss

Thursday, September 24, 2015

Hello there!

I am new to this platform and very excited to engage in conversations. I am a certified nutritionist and curious about the biggest issues with weight loss you might have.

So if you have a question, please just drop it in the comments.

Today I would like to write a post about how to Ease up on yourself, and move from that uncomfortable stalled condition towards desired weight.

If you are the one who follows all the nutrition and exercise recommendations but feel stuck, there might be something else responsible for you not reaching desired results.
1. You might have a medical condition. In this case a health check up might provide with clarity on this.
2. Your nutrition plan does not provide you with balanced meal plan. It is useful to investigate who is the author of your meal plan and how reliable it is.
3. You are stressed out. This is a big one! Practically, this is a common issue that mostly no diet plans take into consideration.

What do I mean by being stressed out? Practically it is the state where you feel any negative emotion on a regular basis. It might be anything from boredom to depression. All of these negative emotions indicate the imbalance in your body that directly affects your hormonal imbalance.

Especially a long-term stress means that you have an increased amount of stress hormone in your body. This means that your body is working against you and your weight loss, when you are trying to shed body fat, it is set to do anything it takes to store it. It stimulates your appetite and craving for sugary and fatty food. There is a simple explanation to why this happens. When you are stressed, you body prepares to feel or fight and thus gather resources instead of "spending" them.
S loosing body weight comes to your body as a counter-intuitive action and no your body is not going to do it willingly.
So the solutions is to reduce the state of stress! A While you cannot control your surrounding environment that causes stress, you can teach yourself to distress and see events around you in a less stressful way.

Meditation and positive thinking are two of many techniques I recommend.

Just try it! Anytime you feel stalled with your progress, instead of adding to the general stressful state by beating up on yourself, decide to practice one of the distressing techniques available out there.

Have a wonderful day and remember weight loss can be and is easy!

As for the meditation, there's a great free app called "Calm" that works wonders!

Hello, @PLAINJANE1982, Thanks for the comment! Having a lot of responsibilities is kind of new normal to all of us, but as you probably already know yourself it´s not a productive way to live your life. In fact, it´s only matter of time until physical or mental break down. Believe me, neither your family nor your career will blossom from you feeling stressed.

It´s time to announce that to announce to your family, the world and to yourself that if you want to be of service to others, you have to prioritise your own well-being. Set up a moment in your calendar! Let it be 5 minutes. I believe you can find that time every day.
Leave your phone and other devices in another room. Just sit down and listen to the relaxing music and breath! Breath in on the count of three and breath out on the count of five!
See what happens. I promise you will feel better!

No time for me to do fitness anything I meant, or meditation, anything really. Where do I start and how do I fit it in?

I would love some advice. I am highly stressed out lately from work, kids going to lessons 3 nights a week, volunteer work, and all the other normal stuff by the time I actually stop for the night it's 8:30-9 at night. So basically no time for me :(

I am good, but just a heads up, if you are trying to sell your services, that isn't allowed. You can share your thoughts, that is very much welcome, but you can't sell on this site.
