Building Up My Determination

Good-bye summer, hello autumn! Today I am eating the last of the summer tomatoes and basil in a salad, but I'm also eating some lovely butternut squash soup--a perfect combination for the changing season.

Today is also my second day of getting back to developing healthy habits. So far I've done the following:

-Yoga
-Walking
-Toning
-Shower with non-toxic products
-Vegetarian diet with little to no processed foods
-Lots and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables
-Sleep
-Reading
-Writing and art
-Meditation
-Organize and clean the house
-Putting video games on hibernate
-Watching less TV
-Taking time for self-care

Tomorrow will be Day Three. I hope that the weekend schedule will not prevent me from continuing. I know that my boyfriend will want to de-stress from the work week, but that usually means binge watching his favorite shows, asking for junk food, and not having the energy to go anywhere or be active. As always, I try to be a good influence, but sometimes his headspace overpowers mine. He says that he wants to be healthy but he seldom takes the actions that are needed to fulfill his desires. It's difficult to do something when someone is actively trying to sabotage you. I guess that I will have to be prepared to leave the house.
