Today is a New Day!! I'm Thinking POSITIVE!! Yesterdays Negatives/Positives!

Friday, October 09, 2015

Happy Friday!!!

So, let's see, Yesterday was a combined with positives & negatives.. I'll just keep it honest! That's my motto, no need in lying or sugar coating it..

Negative: Yes, yesterday I ate pizza, slice of cake & a cupcake.

Positive: I drank 6 cups of water & nothing but water, I ate healthy for breakfast - scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, dinner I ate healthy - chicken, brown rice, & broccoli. I went walking on break & also lifted weights (arms) with my sons, did some squats, & my sons challenged me to do some push-ups & I was able to do 10 which is good considering I could only typically do 3.. LOL..

Today: I look forward to drinking nothing but water again, staying away from the cupcakes!!! This is the last thing of junk food we have in the house!!! I am going to tell myself that I can OVERCOME my addiction to SWEETS!!! I will also do some push-ups, weight training also!

Weekend Plan: I am going to go do some healthy grocery shopping. I need to stock up on fruits, vegetables & lean proteins.

Thanks for reading!!

Have a GREAT WEEKEND!!! SPARK ON!! .

???? Question?????
What healthy snacks do you guess eat? I am tired of eating all natural air-popcorn or just fruit. I am looking for some new snack options. I don't like yogurt or cheese.

Oh my goodness one of my sons, my Matthew (now 24) was always so much fun to work out with! Don't tell my girls- they were fun but less helpful! ;o)

Fave snack- Muffin in a minute. Sometimes Flax, sometimes coconut flour. You can make cocoa, cinnamon, any flavor using flavorings. Plus I put 2 Tablespoons cocnut oil in one and get my daily fat!

    Maybe try these

    Baking Pumpkin
To bake a pumpkin, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut the pumpkin into large pieces.
Arrange the slices on a baking sheet. Put the sheet in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until pumpkin is soft. Take the pan out of the oven and let the pumpkin cool on racks.

    2-Minute Pumpkin Pie
If you need a little something to satisfy your sweet tooth, whip up this 75-calorie pumpkin pie for one. This simple recipe, pared down to the most basic and common ingredients, only takes 2 minutes to make.
    1/2 c. pumpkin puree
1/4 c. egg whites (from an egg or carton)
    Sweetener
    Cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice

Mix together all the ingredients. If you prefer a flan-like texture, add more pumpkin; if you prefer a cake-like texture, add more egg whites. Microwave for two minutes. Use a mix of Greek yogurt, hazelnut cream cheese, and pumpkin pie spice for the icing. Top with toasted pecans.
    Makes one serving.

    Instant Apple Crisp
Take 2 peeled grated apples, 1 cup of unsweetened Mott's applesauce and a pinch of pumpkin spice.
Spoon into 4 small bowls....crumble 2 oatmeal cookies and sprinkle them on the apple mixture. Microwave 5 minutes and let cool 3 minutes before serving.

1 CUP OF MIXED BERRIES WITH 70 CALORIES...ADD 2 T OF LOW FAT WHIPPED CREAM FOR A TOTAL OF 90 CALORIES.....

Do not go to the store hungry.. and stick to the list.. I can go to the local store website and make a list print it out and then I detour around the places I do not need to go down.. You can do this.. If you have a problem with water.. I did so I put a slice of Lemon or orange in it and let it sit in the fridge and you have flavored water... When you cut back on sugar.. I almost never keep it on the table try a small touch of honey or Splenda... If I can do this.. So can you.. In His Love and Grace Just Me emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
