Today I will be walking in the 27th 2015 Community Care Alliance Walk. My youngest daughter, Debra works for Community Care Alliance as a Social Worker. She works with parents who have temporarily lost custody of their children to help them get to a point where they are able to have their children returned to them. The program covers a lot of different programs to assist those families and individuals who are having difficulties. This walk supports their temporary shelter program which provides a place for those who are homeless or in jeopardy of being homeless a safe place to live and classes or support they need to learn how to find their own home and live successfully. Most are families with children. Some need help with learning about budgeting, finding a job, or any skills that are necessary for success. Being a non-profit organization funding is always difficult so different fundraisers are always important to be able to keep these important programs running.
