Fresh Start #51: Goodbye Anemia!

I did my blood work yesterday afternoon and my Doctor's office called this morning to tell me my hemoglobin was up to 13! Since I was hoping for a 12 (the lowest 'normal' reading), I was beyond thrilled! I will still need to take iron supplements for awhile but I don't have to worry so much about taking them on an empty stomach (because iron absorbs better on an empty stomach) - that is going to make life a great deal easier!

A month ago, my doctor told me to wait a month before I attempted any workout ... today, I celebrated my increased energy with a trip to the gym for a workout! It wasn't a particularly IMPRESSIVE workout, mind you, but, it was a start! Gooooooo ME!

I've had a few challenging day in the healthy food department, but, I'm pretty much back on track. In the past, I might have let myself get totally derailed, so I'm pretty proud of myself.

All in all . . . the world is looking rosy! I WILL reach my goals!
