Ending the year out right
Sunday, November 01, 2015
I am 10 months into 2015. The good news is that I am almost 20 pounds down from where I was in January, although the not-quite-so-good news is that that equates to only 1/2 pound per week. Well I'll take it. It's much more progress than I've had in the last few years.
I am currently trying to eat no processed foods. I'm also trying to exercise 5 days a week. I'm having more success than failure, so there's that.
My oldest son is getting married in November 2016. One year to finish losing the weight I've been trying to lose for 10 years. My youngest son is graduating from college and getting commissioned into the Air Force in May. So 7 months 'til that happy event.
I set a goal to eat no Halloween candy this year.
November challenges are my birthday and my son's birthday - November 12. Going to visit my sister in Seattle Nov. 13-15. Thanksgiving, the whole weekend with company coming in from out of town.
December challenges are my other son's birthday, and of course Christmas with all of its once a year foods.
This year my plan is to let the birthdays be only one meal long. And to choose wisely. To present a good example to my sister while visiting her. Thanksgiving - only one meal. Christmas - only one meal. Other challenges as they pop up - take them one at a time.
I will post another blog the beginning of December to account for November.
