Merry Christmas Eve!

Today, if you aren't ready for Christmas... well... just "Let it Go". Fortunately, Christmas isn't a HUGE production at our house. I'm hosting dinner for 7 tomorrow but tonight it is just the DH and I. My daughter and family are at her ex's house and will be there through Christmas morning. I really have to give her a lot of credit. It is a modern blended family and she and her ex have always made decisions with the best interest of our granddaughter in mind. Both have remarried and everyone gets along great. They have even vacationed together.

Tomorrow, my daughter, SIL, granddaughter, Sis and BIL will be coming for Christmas Dinner. Afterwards, we will look into going to a movie. Gifts are very simple which really takes the stress level down. I did have a snafu today however that really set my frustration level up. DH comes home with a piano (basically a full size keyboard and bench) for the Granddaughter. It just spoke to him he said. I was upset. All the gifts are bought and I'm not feeling good about this huge add-on. GD loves music and when she cat sits for us she always plays our piano... and she is learning to play on her own quite well....but I don't think it is our place to buy her one! Anyway, I told DH he needed to speak to our daughter about this. He did and she basically said it would be overwhelming as her Dad was giving her a guitar for Christmas. Trying to do both would take away the excitement from Dad's gift. I totally agreed so we will store the piano for next year. Through all of this I was in the process of making a jello pretzel salad for tomorrow and I ended up eating my frustration. Bummer.

On the positive side, I did go to spin class this morning which ran over 10 minutes... so 70 min of spin at the gym. I usually do a 4 mile run on Thurs however with Christmas tomorrow I won't have my normal gym class so I decided to walk today and will run tomorrow. It quit raining this afternoon and I did a 3 mile power walk and listened to another segment of "Serial" on Pandora.

Single Serve container of Carb Control Yogurt

Bowl (2 cups) of Carrot Ginger Soup
Rosemary Cracker with wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese
3/4 c warmed applesauce with 1/4 c berries and dollop FF whip

emoticon Afternoon Snack
Protein Shake with Banana
Few almonds

Binged - Pretzel / Cream Cheese mixture
3 shortbread cookies

emoticon Dinner
Baked Hollowed Sandwich with ground beef, onion, marinara, cheese
Double serving of Food Should Taste Good Chips
Serving of Jello Pretzel Salad (individual in small canning jars)

My stomach is aching from over eating and having too much sugar. I don't feel good at all about what happened, but nothing to do but move on.

    I can eat too much when I get stressed. So far this vacation I have done pretty good. We are going out to eat tonight so i will see how I do. Enjoy the family time!
