Looking to 2016

Sunday, December 27, 2015

I have revamped my goal board and my "other goals" to reflect what I want to do in 2016. I am still going with a theme--2016 is "deep breath and say 'thank you'"--so I will meditate and keep a gratitude journal. I tend to look on the negative side--so hopefully saying "thank you" will help me see all I have to be positive about! And the meditating will help me quiet my mind so that I won't get so worried or mad. This is the thought, anyway.

I am not dropping my theme for 2015--look good, feel better. I am healthy and I think I have put more effort into my appearance--making me feel better about me. I will continue this. I also want to do one 5K this year--maybe more but one for sure. So I'll need to run at least once per week. I know my house needs attention so whenever I bring something into the house, I will also remove something--be it an article of clothing, a book or movie or just "stuff".

I will also do my best to recycle and share things that we have that we don't need--be it the church rummage sale, the thrift store or just someone that I know that could use it.

The Clearing Out theme has been mine for the past two months and, while I was feeling the pressure of the clutter, the need to purge, and significant relief when it was gone, I have already wanted to reach for something and then realized that I just got rid of it. I'm sure there must be some kind of therapy for that! LOL! I did enjoy my new sewing room this season and loved being able to move around in it!.

Clearing out clutter is on my list of things to do too. It's easy to say "I still need this," when really, when was the last time it was even used? Thanks for the motivation
