Four years away but I'm back and finding "happy"

Wednesday, December 30, 2015

Here I go my first blog in 4 years. Oh my gosh were do I start.
I left sparks 4 years ago because I got very busy with my life and life got busy with me as well.
I did continue with my weigh issues and 2 years ago I had RUY Gastric bypass. For me it was te best thing I could have done for myself. With great success I was able to lose 92 pounds. Woo hoo, way to go, great job. I know some people feel that its the easy way out but I tell you what it's not. Your life has to change and for me it's been harder then one would think. "Social" has always been hard for me and now I fined it even harder to be social because it always is around food a drinks. I'm working on that daily. Funny how we all think that our life's problems will be fixed when we get "thin" "skinny" "fit" or an other key word we have tagged it. Funny it didn't. I can shop in any store I want now. That's fun and all but there still is the same fitting room issues as before. Funny so 26 to 14 and I still hate my big bottom.

So some would ask why am I back. Well the truth is. I need the support to keep the weight off and find the support that I need not to fall back into the old me again.

So here's to more blogs in the feature.

Welcome back! You are right...the surgery is not 'the easy way out'. A good friend of mine had it and the work to get to where she wanted to be was just as hard as any other way of getting healthier.

Congrats on the progress you've made. Glad you are back here to get and give support! Bring on 2016!

You are so right. Too many people feel that weight loss will solve their problems and life will be glorious for ever and ever. Sorry folks, it sure doesn't work that way. The problems still exist with or without pounds, the challenges are still there and all those uncomfortable "feelings" never go away. It is just how you deal with them is the trick. I wish you a New Year that will be kind to you and fun too. Best of luck, fredie

I think you have to accept your self as you are now, set a goal (where you would like to be - include steps and timeline) and go for it! Good luck! emoticon
