Had a problem with eating mixed nuts last night. I had already posted my blog, but then DH got out the canister of nuts and I thought I would just have a couple. ha... I ended up eating about a cup. Really bothers me when that happens. I am going to try and go cold turkey with the mixed nuts. Having a few just doesn't seem to work. Let's see if I can do it.

Very cold out this morning. Went to the gym after breakfast for a 1 hour spin / circuit class. We spin for 15 min then pedal while we do a series of exercises with weights. We go through the circuit 3 times. I used light weights as I had done arms yesterday at body blast. Wasn't really sore but I could feel it particularly in my triceps.

About an hour before lunch, I decided to head out for my 4 mile run. It was cold and I could still see some icy spots on the pavement. I took it slow and it was slippery in areas. The sun was shining and I felt good when I finished.

Later this afternoon, DH and I went out and did some shopping. I bought some almond flour and plan to try a new recipe. I'm trying to minimize my white flour products so thought this might be something to try.

Oh NUTS! While on our most recent trip. The daughter shows up with a bulk bag of macadamia nuts. First day I snacked away. I then looked up the values! Oh My! At home I do keep some raw almonds and walnuts handy. I use them very sparingly. One of my Favorites is to toast some walnuts, chop them and then I cut up an apple. Put goat cheese on one side and press into the walnuts. Yum!
