Not for everyone...but for now - for me.

Daily weigh-ins.

This is a hotly debated topic... But as I review what has worked during my most successful spans along this journey, I find that daily weigh-ins are helpful to me. Naturally, I have to carefully manage expectations, as weight fluctuations are perfectly normal. What daily weigh-ins DO help with are: 1) a good way to help cement my intention for the day, 2) a good additional piece of data to add to the equation, as I evaluate my choices and plan my strategies.

I stop weighing myself when I go astray and then think....I'll get back on track and THEN weigh myself...knowing full well that my pants are tighter, I'm less energetic, and I don't feel good. It's the same as avoiding tracking my weight on here...I avoid it. But that doesn't help ANYTHING.

Daily weigh-ins are a tool for being honest with myself...a way to remember to REMEMBER that it's progress, not perfection that's important.

I like doing it daily. I got away from it, and yeah, I put on weight. It's good feedback.

Weighing in is part of my morning routine, along with taking my B.P. medicine. If there is a trend, I get concerned and focus on my menu more closely. I record the readings when the weight goes down into a new low.
Sounds to me like you are one the right track. You stated it, it is what's best for YOU.

You know that it has worked for you in the past and if it works for you, that's what's important. Daily weigh-ins can be a great tool if you know how to handle them. Go with what works :)

There is no right or wrong way in the subject of weighing yourself daily, weekly, monthly or even yearly. Whatever works for you, works for you. Don't let anyone influence you one way or another, this is your journey, no one else's. Personally I weigh myself every two to three days to see how I am doing. Best wishes...

I feel the same. I don't really take the number seriously unless it's my actual weigh in day, but it's an act of mindfulness for me. Just reminds me what I'm working towards.
