And it starts...

I've been cleared for normal activity by my podiatrist so I can now get back down to business.
Today was an eye opener. I took my measurements this morning, and although I was somewhat prepared for them, I was still taken aback when comparing where I am to where I want to be. I have 50 pounds to lose to get to my goal weight. I don't know if my goal weight is actually doable now as I do have more muscle mass than I had all those many years ago, but it's at least a start. I'll reassess in the middle of the year.
I put together my program plan for the next 8 weeks today, and put it all together in a brand new binder. I also entered all my workouts in my Google calendar and will receive reminders, so I have absolutely no excuse! Now I just have to MAKE myself get out of bed in the morning.
There is going to be a weight loss contest at work that I'm planning on joining this time. Although I don't think I'll win, I do believe it will add another level of accountability that will be beneficial for me. So between NRoL4W, boot camp, cardio + core work, and the work challenge, I'm sure to see results.
I must also keep my eating under control. I tend to snack in the evenings if I don't keep myself busy, so I'll have to work on that. But I have 2 baby blankets to make so keeping my hands busy shouldn't be so hard. I imagine I'll have more issues keeping my alcohol consumption at a manageable level. I really do enjoy a nightly glass of wine, but I may have more success reaching my goals if I abstain from drinking during the week.
So my plan is in place for workouts, but I haven't really looked at my food plan yet. I'm going to continue eating the way I normally do for the next couple of weeks and see how I'm doing at that point.
Determination and perseverance will get me where I need to be!
