Whole 30, Day Six

Wednesday, January 06, 2016

Nothing big to report. The plan/book warns of crabbiness around now, but fortunately I am not feeling crabby. I'm also not feeling tired, which is nice. I didn't get to run today because we had very slick, sleety weather. There is no sense in going out in that.

I opted to work from Panera Bread today - it was close to where I needed to do errands, so easier than going to the office. Not the greatest of options. But, I was able to get a veggie sandwich. Confession: I ordered the chips instead of the apple. I just didn't have it in me and I knew I'd be craving a cookie if I didn't have something. The ingredients are: potatoes, sunflower oil (that's the bad part), salt.

Food for the day:
Breakfast: small amount of potatoes with last of the carnitas (dang, we got a lot of meals out of that $4 roast!).
Lunch: Veggie sandwich (cucumbers, peppers, raw onion, lettuce. Obviously, I ditched the bread (and the cheese sprinkled on it - that was HARD). Chips.
Dinner: grass-fed beef patty, whole spaghetti squash (not sure that was a good idea) with roasted tomatoes and garlic cloves. Side of homemade mayo and fresh tomato.
Snacks today: almonds, 1/2 avocado. I think I'm missing something.

No blood sugar issues, although I did start to get a migraine in the morning. It went away with medicine.

The weather is supposed to be crappy through the weekend. I'll get pretty crabby regardless of W30 if I can't get out and run. I'll run in rain, but not ice.

I'm off to bed, fortunately another early night! :)
