Attempt #237...I will break you diabetes!

Monday, January 11, 2016

Today I read a blog by fellow Spark member Sarah (Smore 007). Her story brought me to tears just thinking of the journey she took to get herself healthy and her ultimate achievements. A couple years ago she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes at a young age. This story hit close to home as I am in a similar situation. Although I feel young and healthy, my body tells me different and I've been struggling to keep it under control. I'm hoping that by shedding my excess weight, this thing will finally get better controlled. I've lost one pound this week and that's the start that I need. Ultimately, if I get to a point where I can shed the meds, I will know I have done it.

Sarah's story is on the homepage today. I'm including the link here if you would also like to read.
