What a week..

It's been a long week! I know it's only Wednesday but I started trying to really change my eating/exercising habits last week and have been pretty successful. Just lots of stress from work - what else is new emoticon On the bright side I weighed in 3.8# less than last Wed so that was nice to see. I've been eating lots more veggies and trying to drink a lot of water. The exercise has improved but is nowhere what it should be..

Working the last 5 days has left me EXHAUSTED.. a lot of highly emotional/sad cases in the last couple of days. I'm looking forward to a day off tomorrow with my man. We are traveling to College Staation, TX (3 hours away) to see his parents. They are on a big journey all over the east coast performing a Rosa Parks play they have been acting in for the past couple of years. They are very musically talented and they play music/sing/act in this show. It's one of the "field trip" shows for 2nd-4th graders is the best way I can explain it without seeing it yet. They are amazing people so really glad to be spending the time with them emoticon

I hope everyone else has made it halfway through their week with success.

Another long day at work with a very prolonged (5 hour) silly meeting this morning that started at 7:30 and lasted until noon - after working until 11 PM last night. After that I just jumped into surgery. I didn't feel at my best to put on a happy face and handle clients this afternoon so surgery was a nice break but they were complicated..

Anyway, not trying to sit around and make a complaining blog.. I was tempted to get off of a stressful/hungry day and EAT bad food but I resisted and cooked sweet potato ribbons/onion and califlower with spaghetti sauce and it was fabulous and healthy!

I've been trying to meditate daily with one of two apps that I downloaded.. it's been going well but sometimes hard to fit in the time.

Here's to a fun day tomorrow and making it through a long shift Friday for a weekend off!! Looking forward to sleep and exercising with the puppy dawgs emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Congrats on the loss! i think coming up with a stress-management plan would be useful, as your job is bound to always be stressful. Any little things you can do in the small off-moments would be helpful.

    Does sound like you need a break so your trip will be that needed stress relief.
