Friday & Monday's food blog. Did pretty well. Forgot to take pics over the weekend and track, oops. Working on making this a habit.
Friday: Lent version (no red meat or chicken)
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese and spicy spinach blend plus a cup of sauteed stir-fry veggies and two tortillas. Rich is now making it a game to stick his face in my pics whenever he can. Weirdo!
Snack: Apple and 1 tbs crunchy almond butter
Lunch: Subway veggie delight and tomato basil soup
Snack: Pear and string cheese
Dinner: Tuna salad with a serving of kettle chips and two kiwi. I wanted to make a sandwich but I was over my carbs for the day. Why are carbs soooo good?
These are the some of the ingredients for my tuna salad. Yummy!
Dessert: 3 chocolate hearts from Valentine's day. This was the perfect amount of chocolate to satisfy my chocolate craving.
Exercise: None. Booooo!
Total Calories: 1,991 (A tad high because I had planned to workout then the day got away from me. At least I got my freggies in.)
Calories burned: Does chasing a 1 year old count?
Bonus: Got to hang out with my cutie pie niece, Dalilah. She's always this happy. Love her!
Breakfast: Coffee only and before I knew it was lunch time
Lunch: Pepperoni and cheese sandwich with cherry tomatoes and pickles. Note to self: Pick up deli turkey
Snack: Bottle of Starbucks Frappuccino
Dinner: Went to Outback Steakhouse with my boo. They had a few items listed under 600 calories so that made it an easy choice. 6 oz sirloin with mixed veggies and a house salad with tomato dressing. I want that tomato dressing in my life. Soooo good I wanted to bathe in it. TMI: Maybe.
Dessert: My sweet tooth was in over drive and I was drooling over the cheesecake at Outback Steakhouse but Rich stood firm and refused to be my enabler. Ugh! So instead I got a vanilla ice cream cone and it hit the spot.
Exercise: None. Booooo!
Total Calories: 1,675 (Excellent!)
Calories burned: -0 (Not Excellent)
Both days I did really well food wise. I’d say I was in the 80/20 range. Unfortunately I couldn’t get my workouts in. This is something I need to focus on in the next few days. Gotta get er done!
If nothing else I need to focus on eating well 80% of the time and be ok with being more lenient 20% of the time. I can still have delicious food, enjoy myself and stay on track.
