Decided to give my joints a break, and walked the dog park instead of pounding the pavement. The new dog park we checked out today is a basin, and has steep rises along two sides, after putting in my laps, I did 10 minutes going up and down the slope.

I had to reflect a bit on my plank history. When I first saw the plank challenge posted on Facebook, I didn't attempt it because I couldn't get up off the ground without assistance, The first plank I tried before starting the challenge was pathetic. I barely made it to a count of 10, and it took me longer to get up than i was in the plank position.
Today was my first time holding a plank for a full minute. My arms were quaking that last 10 seconds, but I did it! My ascent from floor to standing is surely harrowing to observe, but the fact that I can get up on my own from the ground wishing a couple of seconds is probably as surprising to me as being able to hold that plank for 60 seconds!
