Simple pleasures are the best!
There are many things in life that can bring great joy if we take the time to acknowledge them. Today I am going to list 10 of them. Please add to my life:
1. Feeling love from a friend, mate, child or stranger. Love is essential to having a happy life!
2. Taking a deep breath of air. After a good hike, swim or walk, it feels good just to breathe in clean air!
3. Tasting a healthy meal. I love taking time to taste the flavors of natural goodness!
4. The tired feeling after a good workout. Being able to sleep good and to rest after a good workout is a satisfying feeling.
5. Listening to the birds chirp in the morning. The promise of another great day along with the songs of birds makes me smile in the morning!
6. Watching a baby learn to walk. There is something wonderful about seeing a wobbling baby learn the essential skill of walking reminds me of the promise and possibility in each of us.
7. Holding hands during times of difficulty. Life gets hard at times, but having people with us for strength and comfort makes life a lot easier.
8. Enjoying the view from a mountain summit. If you belong to the group of hikers who climb to the peak of a mountain, then you know the satisfaction of looking out over the miles to see the next summit far off in the distance.
9. Drinking cold water on a hot day. I love the refreshment that comes from clean, cold water!
10. Looking at the night sky on a spring or summer’s night. I love to camp in the wilderness, and look out at the quiet and calm sky at night.
