SEEING is everything!

Saturday, April 16, 2016

It's amazing what I can see now--
You see, I have new glasses---a couple new pair!
One pair , are my piano glasses---
I can now see the notes. in the book---YOUZA!

Usually when I play the piano----the 2 Germans (as in dogs) position themselves, beside the piano--and fall asleep-

I consider it a good day, if I get a few minutes between walking the dogs, cooking a meal, shopping, cleaning , entertaining Grand Kids and trying to get Himself's attention (as he doesn't hear me!)---to help me do some housey chore---- if--I can sit at the piano, and bang out some song---
-
--if I can find the glasses!

So glad you got new glasses! I used to love playing the piano, too, and know how good it can make you feel to "bang out" a song or three! Keep Sparking (and playing, and singing, and dancing, and, well, you get the idea.....)

Seeing is important, but interestingly, not seeing doesn't stop everyone... saw a couple of blind runners running the BAA 5K this morning, tied to their running guides! How awesome that they still were able to run, thanks to the help of others! Inspiring!

OK, what I would do.... If your piano glasses are just for playing piano, put them on top of the piano! Or, buy you one of those chains! They have sassy oens these days! As a blind person I would find every opportunity to see!! Hope you find plenty of chances to pound out some songs!!

emoticon I, too, enjoy playing the piano (in the living room) or the organ (in the family room). And I truly do have the time to do both; however, I don't indulge in doing so as often as I should. Maybe I should make it my goal to give thirty-minutes per day to that endeavor over the summer months. Maybe I will do just that, now that I have thought of the idea. emoticon

We awoke to an icy snow, so it is emoticon walking for this gal today. Yesterday was so lovely (as were all the days this past week), so I did get my steps in outdoors. We expected this change of weather, so it did not come as a surprise. Actually, I "kinda" like it - one last "hurrah" before Springtime pushes Winter away for the year!

    God bless!

Music can bring us such joy! My dogs always ran away on the few occasions when I managed to play my piano. When we moved I could not bring it with us since we downsized considerably. I donated it to a charity that only takes pianos in already in good shape, tunes and repairs them, and then gives them to families with gifted children who cannot afford a new piano. It has a good home, which makes me happy, but I do miss it. So enjoy your piano and your music! And enjoy it a little extra for me.

As for the glasses, I started wearing glasses when I was 12 years old. I tried contacts for a couple years when I was in my 30s; great for the looks and ego but really a pain to use and they irritated my eyes. Back to the glasses. Then bifocals at around 40. They don't disappear too often as I seldom take them off. So I love your picture with the 3 pairs and do have some compassion for trying to keep track of them.

    Have a scrumptious Saturday!

I so understand keeping the glasses handy! Fortunately after cataract surgery I no longer need glasses so I can buy the over the counter ones. I have louvers on the door to my Sanctuary, and it makes a handy spot to store the glasses. Of course that is after I manage to find them!

Play some tunes, now that you can read the notes, it might sound different emoticon
    Have a great day! emoticon

Yes! I have had to go to using a larger purse so it can carry all the glasses for indoors, outdoors, etc. So many things I need now I used to do without!

I am ALWAYS losing my glasses. I have a pair at my desk that I use all the time (I call those the good ones because I can see the best with those) I keep another pair at my desk because I am always getting up to do something and take the good glasses off and then can't remember where I put them. I have two pairs of glasses in my purse in case in case I forget to take the good glasses with me when we go out and the second pair is for my himself because he usually forgets to take his. emoticon Just too many pairs of glasses!!!

My two doggies crowd into my office when I am working. Menlo lays beside my chair and Fasa the 150 pound bull mastiff likes to lay behind my chair, making it difficult for me to get up. I have become quite acrobatic to accomplish getting out of my desk chair. emoticon Menlo also likes to lay in the powder room and again have to be acrobatic (it's a small powder room) and then when Indy was with us, he used to like to lay in front of the door to the powder room and he never moved so had to learn to squeeze into a small opening in order to get in. Geez the things we do for our dogs. Now when Fasa lays in front of the powder room door to be closer to Menlo, he at least will move so I can open the door.

Have a splendid Saturday. Hope Himself hears you today.
