April 20, 2016 ON THE JOB

When we are on the job, we have many choices. We encounter people of all religions, backgrounds and nationalities. We are open to meet people from all walks of life. How we conduct ourselves around them is extremely important. We may meet them once or see them every day. When we are disciplined in God's work and allow Him to help us on the job, we will be able to be a witness for Him. And we will be able to endure living for Him despite what those we meet say and do to us because of our faith.

Hebrews 12:2a "We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith." (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us on the job today. We know we may encounter those who need to hear Your word. Help us to be aware to this and share as You call us to share. We know we may encounter those who need a friend. Help us to be aware of this and show kindness and love to them. We know we may encounter those who don't believe in You. Give us the strength, wisdom and courage to speak out about You and Your love to them. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Because of Jesus and our faith in Him, we will be able to share His word with others and stay strong to speak out with His word.

When we have a disciplined prayer life, God can help us with the issues at work.

There are people at work who need to hear God's word. We need to know God's word so we can share it with them.

Sometimes, at work, there will be people who put us down because we are Christians. We need to ask God to help us during those times.

We shouldn't look at it as witnessing on the job. It is our job to witness as God has commanded us to do.

Matthew 28:19a "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations" (NLT)

Focus: Look for and act on opportunities at work to share God's word with others.
