Learning to Ask

If you read my blog yesterday, then you know that I spent the day getting a mammogram. I have dense tissue in my breasts, and always get called back. For over 25 years, I have going through this process, and wanted a change. I wanted to go in, get the mammogram, have the technician read the scan, and then get the second one. I know that insurance will pay for the first one. This time, I did have the 3d mammogram, so I will be paying for part of it. I always have to pay for the second scan. Always.

The CMC Catholic Medical Center) Breast Care staff are excellent, and responsive to my request. Unfortunately, their equipment could not read the scans sent over from Concord Hospital. I found this really strange that one breast care facility did not have the updated technology to read another breast care facility's scans. I have a feeling that this will change when brought to their attention. The staff at CMC made every effort to get both scans taken in one day. Unfortunately they were unable to do it this time.

Next mammogram, CMC will br ready for me, and both will be done that day! One small victory. I asked, and they responded.
