no hitting or biting!

Yesterday our day went to the dogs----
You see, Tess , the older German needed shots--
We drove (me with my new glasses)--to the next town to our vet---

Beau , the year old German stayed home with a dog sitter---
It was a traumatic day for him--separation anxiety from Tess --and us!

I did the driving yesterday--
This is extremely difficult for himself----who insists on announcing just when to stop--or start--or let me know the speed limit---or tell me--"Keep up with the traffic"---
We did drink water----ate a healthy lunch out----and saw an elk beside the road--
It was a good Sparkly day!

    I knew you were a strong willed woman, as you always do your 'dreadmill" and other healthy activities. Now I know you have self control made of tempered stainless steel, as you did not hit or bite Himself during the drive and all his "help". Kudos to you! Hopefully, Beau was not so distraught with his separation anxiety that he damaged anything while Tess was gone.

    What makes MEN think that they know everything. I got one that sometimes he's a thorn in my side. I tried giving him away but no one took the bait. Bet your glad that day was over. Keep on writing! I love it.

    P.S. I used to give a gal rides (she since moved away) & was driven crazy by her "directing me". emoticon I finally had to tell her that I did not need her "help" & to please "zip it". Not as blunt as that; however, to give her her due, she never again tried to "drive from the passenger's seat". I was left wishing that I had spoken up a lot sooner! emoticon

    I am glad y'all enjoyed your outing & that Tess has gotten her shots - always a good thing to know is up to date. Our vet is a lot closer than yours sounds, so I am not going to allow myself to feel that I wish that they were a lot closer, like our daughter's vet is for them. Their vet is truly just five minutes from their gated community entrance. I think how nice that must be! emoticon However, they live in an area where tornado warnings are the norm & the summertime temperatures are high (stationed there by the US Military); so, if given a choice, I rather live in our area, even though the vet's office is further away, don't you know? emoticon

    I remember when I had to drive my husband somewhere.....not fun. So hats off to you for keeping your cool. Glad the dogs survived the separation. I think it really is hard on them. Loved all the pictures and the last quote was great.

    Glad to hear you had a good day yesterday, including a safe trip. My hubby and I have our own cars. We are pretty territorial about our cars: he doesn't drive mine and I don't drive his. Usually when we go places together I drive. The excuse is that my car, a compact size, gets better gas mileage than his SUV. Truth is, that's only part of the story. He is 11 years older than I am and it shows in his driving (my opinion, of course). Also, I am a terrible passenger, usually quiet but full of body language.. He's pretty mellow about riding with me. I guess it's because I'm not driving his car.

    Glad to hear the dogs survived the separation. Beau may have been anxious, but I suspect Tess may have enjoyed the quiet reprieve from her energetic buddy.

    The Germans must be happy to be back together again. Our smaller dog (not German) misses her brother when he is away. I don't think he misses her at all. emoticon

    I tend to not be a good passenger myself... Although, if I sit in the back seat and keep my mind busy... I feel safe and manage to keep my yap shut. My excuse is the car accident in which I was a passenger (the front right seat on the bench seat, back in the dark ages when I was 19)... I should have been killed, yet God put me safely in the back seat sitting on the dome light when all was said and done.

    I am proud that kept your "CooL"... turned down your (imaginary) hearing aid, bit your tongue and carried on as though your himself had the self-control to keep his yap shut.

    Maybe it would be a good idea to work on diminishing Beau's dependency upon Tess. Just in case ....

    This Strawberry wallpaper is making me hungry for fresh strawberries... I will just have to wait a few more weeks for them to come into season.
