Cinco de Mayo and other bad ideas

Tuesday, May 03, 2016

I hosted my yearly Cinco de Mayo happy hour this past weekend and I will just say, I'm glad that's over for the year. Now, I could have gone light and healthy but sometimes I have to live up to expectations. I won't go into all the really ".bad" food, just let your imagination run away with you, but I'll finish with the mexican wedding cookies, homemade soppapilla cheesecake and 2 1/2 gallons of tequila, a gallon of triple sec and 2 hour happy hour. I don't drink much because of meditation s so when I do indulge, I suffer greatly for days. It only takes a couple of days to mess up months of hard work. But... here I go again, back in the saddle.

Now, for my other not so bad idea but the results of my one month challenge of staying off the scale. I gained... measurements stayed the same. Could be weigh-in was after happy hour and lot's of salt. The one positive note, I loved not being controlled by the scale. I would weigh in and already be worry about the next weeks weigh-in. So I tried something that didn't quite work for me the way I wanted it to, so I'm just gonna have to refocus (again). Happy Cinco de Mayo!
