Gardening with my Grandchild
Saturday, June 04, 2016
I love to work in the garden growing food for tomorrow, and beauty for today. My favorite thing to do is pass on the love of dirt. My grandchild Lina loves playing in the garden with me, and while every plant may not survive her love, it is a great learning experience.
Lina's favorite part of gardening is looking for the worms. She wants them for pets. Gardening is a great form of exercise, combining strength, endurance and flexibility. Spending time in a garden is good for us physically and emotionally. It can help with balance and coordination along with reducing stress, lowering blood pressure and relieving muscle tension. None of that matters to line. She just loves to pull weeds, use the garden lose for watering and hunt for worms.
