Day 159 of my VLCD Journey!

Being an aunt is one of the best things in my life! I get to create memories with my nieces that I will have and I hope that they will have forever. Before my journey I would sit and watch them play. Now I am being more active with them and I am playing with them instead of sitting on the side watching them. Last night I had my goddaughter over for awhile and we sat in my drive way and drew all over the place with side walk chalk. This may not seem very active, but sitting and crawling across the driveway isn't easy. Before I couldn't sit Indian style because my legs were to big and my stomach got in the way. Now I was crawling on the ground, and squatting and moving from one part of the driveway to another. It was so much fun and we had a lot of laughs. I can't wait to be more active with them.
My work out routine is going really well. I have incorporated a new machine into my routine. It is called an arc trainer. It is a combo of glider, elliptical, and climber. I use to hate this machine because I wasn't physically in shape to do it. I have worked my way up to 15 minutes on this machine! I have also started 21 day arm challenge. I bought some hand weights and I do the arm challenge during commercials of my favorite show.
My urge to snack at night is coming back again and it scares me. I want to make better choices of going to do something different if it happens. I have been drinking water which really helps but I want to start going for a walk or go for a bike ride. Replace a bad habit with a new and good for you habit is the key.
Well I am off to organize my office because my desk has become a dump zone for mail, and bills, and all sorts of things.

    I completely understand the "dump" on your desk - i have to keep up with mine or weeks will go by & then it will take hours to get it cleaned up - the arc trainer sounds great!! Good for you take possible unhealthy decisions and make new ones!! Way to Go

Oh how I wish we gave as much importance to things like this as we do to the number on the scale. emoticon also on improving in your fitness level to the point of moving on to a new machine and emoticon with starting a new challenge! Evening eating is one of the TOUGHEST things on this journey but you can conquer!! Your ideas sound like they will be very helpful. emoticon emoticon

    Hey Sam! I LOVE your ideas & watching your progress. You're definitely an inspiration for me. I will have grandkids at some point & I totally want to be able to get on the floor/ground with them & play. It might take some knee surgery...but I would prefer it didn't.

    So...are you VLC-ing it? Or are you eating food now? Just trying to keep up. I'm a little slow sometimes!!!

    Creating memories w/loved ones is such a blessing! I'll bet you had a blast w/your goddaughter. I remember the days of drawing on the cement w/sidewalk chalk w/my kids. Wish I'd had a camera to take pics of some of it! But I have the memories.

    Yes, it is so helpful to have a GOOD behavior to replace the one you want to stop.
