Since my last blog, I had breast surgery to remove a 3 1/2 cm. tumor. It was followed by a 18 day radiation treatment. I was placed on a hormone treatment. but had adverse reactions, so switched to another. It seems to be OK, no side effects. I'm getting my strength back. For awhile I was drained. No energy.
I was lucky , no chemo was needed. Considering how quick I was diagnosed. operated on and treated, it was kind of a blur. It hits hard when diagnosed, but everything moved with such speed. I look back now and it seems almost unreal. I have to look at my boob to see how it looks now, The hormone treatments give me some hot flashes, not bad. Glad I was in good shape, health, had lost the weight, could move around easy, get up and down on the examination tables,.Yes I have been very fortunate. ,
All through my radiation treatments, which I scheduled for 7:15, first everyday, I took Titan with me. Treatments only took 15,20 minutes. He would wait in the car and when I finished we would go two blocks down to Bush Park and have our walk. Most days that's about all I could manage, I would get so tired. When the treatments ended we still headed out but to a closer park, at least we both got our exercise.
Titan, my lovable little Yorkie has been the best companion I could ever hope for.
For a while I had no interest in doing anything. I wondered when I would feel like creating my designer jewelry again. I had the Etsy shop, Panache Jewelry, and numerous craft shows to stock. Finally a few weeks ago, I gradually felt the creative urges . Some days I can work for hours, other days a few hours and I'm worn out.
Here are a few of the pieces that I've been working on.
Earrings, bracelets, necklaces.
I have some designs laid out on the bead boards, I'll finish a couple more pieces today. I wish I could turn out work like I used too. The desire is there, the energy just can't keep up.
I took the time to walk. it's cool here in Salem, nice walking weather.
Take care Sparkers,
It's a day at a time.
