A bump in the road

I feel like this past week I have lost focus. We went out to eat and ice cream a couple of times. I am sure that I have gained at least a few pounds. Today I started going to the gym again. I tried a new gym and it was very nice although farther away. There is an organic health store next to it that I want to check out. Any tips on getting motivated? I need to buy workout clothes but I won't until I get to 190. A couple of weeks ago I was 194 so it shouldn't take too long. No good tastes as good as being healthy feels!!! I must remember that!

    Those pounds that come on quickly like that tend to come off quickly too. We all have bumps in the road and always will - what this is really about is what we do afterwards.

    I can totally relate. Ice cream is one of my weaknesses and it's hard for me to pass up. My hubby is always suggesting ice cream and I often don't fight it. I have to practice avoidance. I do best when not tempted.

    I know what you mean. I really cheated with grandkids this weekend - a sundae (not all of it, but way more that I should have had) and popcorn at a movie. Still, because I was very careful the rest of the time I actually lost .2 pounds. I think my body burns more calories now that parts are getting toned. Wishing you every success!
