Reaching for a goal

Thursday, June 30, 2016

You know it's been awhile since I desired to actually set a goal and whole heartedly work toward it...

I think as I've gotten older I just fell by the wayside and real life took precedence.

First it was get Cassidy taken care of, then Carleigh, and now Noah. Make sure they have the tools and support they need to survive adulthood.

In the years since I've been doing that Nicole didn't get what she needed.

I have done some things in the past two years to take some time for my needs. I went back to therapy for a little while... But it did not hold the allure that it once did in my early twenties... I go to a chiropractor weekly, get a massage every other week, get out in the sun daily, take my vitamins...

I would love to be a healthy weight again... At times it just seems overwhelming.

So today I focus on mini goals. Tracking my food, drinking my water, going to a weight watchers meeting and weighing in even if I don't want to.

I go through times like these. Where it is difficult to make the highest choice in the moment. Moments change as fleetingly as emotions. Just keep swimmingčÉč

I know how you feel, some days I just don't want to try any more. I feel like I am getting no where, but then I try to focus on something smaller and it helps me get back on track.

It helps me when I visualize the future I want to have. Healthy fun with my grandchildren (who aren't even born yet! ) Hiking in beautiful places. Swimming in the ocean. I can only do these things if I stay healthy... self care matters.
