Well, it's Monday after a long weekend for me. I took Friday off to get my learner's permit renewed. That went very well and took less than an hour. It was quite a relief since I had been extremely anxious about it.
This weekend culminated in a weight gain after a high cal week and plenty of alcohol this weekend. I went out with my friend to celebrate my birthday; Saturday I went to a birthday party; yesterday I drank beer while watching a movie.
On a positive note, yesterday I took my water filtration system back to the store and got a new, different one. It's working so far. I drink lots of water so this is very important to me. Now I just need to get my hot water back... It's been lacking since the new system was installed. Nothing's ever easy...
This morning I'm forcing myself to stay awake and engaged before going to work. I didn't feel like preparing my lunches yesterday so I did that this morning. Too late to do a workout, though. I'll get plenty of walking in so not so bad. Tomorrow's another day.
The reason why it's important for me to stay awake is because for the last three weeks I've had a hard time getting to work. I've been getting up my usual time, but after doing some of my morning rituals, I've been going back to sleep, not caring what happens, just wanting to sleep. This week I plan to put a stop to my negative behavior and enjoy my birthday week, doing the right thing by me, as well as by the others in my life.
