What a fun day it is today. Not only is it the end of a very successful summer reading program at my library but today is Lollipop day!
Most everyone I know is a sucker for this sweet little treat. You may enjoy the dum-dums or a tootsie pop or just a huge lollipop. But whatever your choice is, grab a sucker and enjoy!
How to Celebrate National Lollipop Day:
Here are a few delicious ways to celebrate this day! Eat your favorite lollipop but don't forget to share with your children. Pass them out to neighbors and friends. Even hand one to the teller of your bank!
The owner of the Bradley Smith Company, a Mr. George Smith, had the lollipop invented in the year of 1908. The rumor has it he named this sweet treat after his special horse,
George Smith, owner of Bradley Smith Company, invented and patented the Lollipop in 1908. Legend has it that Mr. Smith named the Lollipop after his favorite racehorse " Lolly Pop."
