August 9, 2016 NO NEED TO BE PERFECT
Those who are successful in getting things done may not be the most skilled. They are successful because they keep on trying and don't give up. They aren't concerned if they mess up a few times while they are trying to accomplish a goal because they know mistakes are opportunities to learn. They aren't worried about running into problems or dead ends because they know when they put their faith in God, He will help them succeed.
Psalm 71:15 "I will tell everyone about your righteousness. All day long I will proclaim your saving power, though I am not skilled with words." (NLT)
Dear Lord, we know You want to use us just the way we are. We don't have to be perfect. We just have to step out and trust in You. Many average, ordinary people have had faith in You, did what you asked and succeeded. Help us to remember as long as we have You, we can succeed in doing what You request us to do. We don't have to wait until we are perfectly skilled to do it. We just need to step out and believe. You will give us the actions to take and the right words to say. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.
God wants us to know when we step out in faith to give Him glory, He will give us the right words to say.
God will help us succeed when we have faith even though we may not be the most qualified.
It doesn't take a college degree or a masters in English to speak out for God. It only takes a willing and trusting heart.
When we are willing to speak out for God, He will help us along the way.
Even when we are sure what words to pray, the Holy Spirit can help us.
Romans 8:26b "But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words." (NLT)
Focus: God doesn't desire us to be perfect to do His will. He just desires us to have faith in Him to help us.
