I am happy to announce I have lost 5 pounds.
I am working really hard to keep that off and lose 5 more before I go back to the doctor in two weeks.
That is my goal.
I am not going to fret if I dont.
I have been adding more time and steps to my daily walks.
And more intensity, taking the streets instead of just staying on the track.
Our little town is built on a hillside and while I am not able to walk to the main top, I do add one or two good steep street climbs to my daily walk.
It has been good.
I am not so much struggling with snacking, I dont snack much at all.
I just struggle with wanting to cook healthy.
I look for easy fast meals. But at the same time am trying to stay away from pizza and tacos.
I dont know why I am having this problem lately, I never did before, making a salad in advance for supper or cooking a healthy chicken recipe.
Lately I have turned back to the prepackaged meals like Lean Cuisine, etc.
But I know those arent really healthy.
I am just trying to get my mind back in line with proper healthy nutrition as much as I am focused on exercise.
But it is a good blog, I am good today.
I am up and ready to hit the track in about an hour.
Will update if I reach that goal.

Sounds like you're doing just fine! I agree about taking the time to make healthy meals. For whatever reason, I haven't been particularly motivated, but I haven't stopped clipping recipes. I found one for crock pot turkey pumpkin chili that shouldn't take too much time to through together; maybe this weekend.

I've just bought a lot of yam (0cal) and tofu (10cal) noodles: pad Thai, Chinese stir fry, Italian marinara, butter basil, all super quick dinners. Salads and stir fry have been my go-to this summer, but a big ol' pot of soup is just around the corner! Cook once, and eat all week.
