A difficulty I have these days, is tuning into the bells and whistles each day brings.
For instance, I heard a bell ringing yesterday---in the house---
Have you ever stopped to think of how many bells there are in one's home?
"What's that ringing?" I said to himself, yesterday.
Of course he replied, "I don't hear anything!"
"It is the doorbell out front", I told him---suspecting that it really couldn't be. We live in the bush---No-one ever comes to our front door.
It wasn't the washer---nor was it the dryer--or the dishwasher---
The ringing kept on for sometime.
We ignored it.
Later on, son#2, the Air Canada Pilot, who sits in various hotels around the world, between flights, called us on the house phone.
"Why didn't you answer your I Pad", he asked. "I was trying to Face time you."
Instantly I remembered the ringing not that long ago.
I'm beginning to realize that If we are to keep up with this ever changing world, recognizing all these sounds is essential in the land of the living--connecting us to our kids---alerting us to the times!
Lord love a Duck!
Everyday there are more challenges!
