I have an idea. Let's set up a market for necklaces made out of poachers' teeth. Do you think they would sell? Am I being mean? Ack!
I hope this new initiative will save the elephants! They are so magnificent!
Lovely photos, as usual. I love the miniature donkeys. Glad to see the photo of the donkeys with the little boy so we can see just how miniature those donkeys are! Those tiny squirrels are cute, too . . . and the prairie dogs . . . and the hippos . . . and the red panda . . . and the . . . . . . . . all of them! Thank you!
The good news that the majority of countries support the Ban On Domestic Ivory Markets, but sadly all countries did not support the Ban. South Africa, Namibia, Canada, Japan and some members did not support the ban. South Africa is by far the most troubling, with the greatest number of elephants killed! In 2015 many airlines pledged not to ship ivory and other Wild Game Trophies. Within 3 months South African Airways gave into pressure and began shipping Ivory, Elephant Heads and other Wild Game Trophies. Please read the articles Peggy has posted and go to the websites of the wildlife organizations mentioned therein. You can make your voice heard! The more people who get involved the sooner we can end the brutality of Wildlife Trophy Kills.
Oh Peggy, these are all priceless! First, I am so happy aout the resolution regarding ivory...I just wish it had been many years sooner! It breaks my heart to see what is done...I saw a picture once and I will never get it out of my mind! The photo of the squirrels looking through the hole in the wood is adorable! And the fox...I think it is...is just amazing! Those are my beloved Prairie Dogs greeting each other! Our adopted rescue used to greet our cat that way...LOL...and they open their mouths when they do it, too! You should have seen our cats face! They are such sweet creatures! Also love the baby hippo and it's mother! Thanks again...and have a great Sunday! Hugs, Mary P.S. Love the ghost cartoon! 1143 days ago
