--so true isn't it?
My Dad could laugh--see the funny side of most everything
-my Grandfather too----on the Right!
I remember him dancing me around the kitchen of that house in Port Perry, singing, ""A heel and a toe and away we go"---with him in a kilt and myself feeling pretty special--I was quite small!---I also remember him hiding my doll, and then producing it again after a lot of wailing on my part!
He had a huge old house (well it seemed large to all of us at that time)---
There was a circular staircase with a bannister which we all took turns sliding down---
He also kept chickens in the barn and I heard him telling my Dad every night---" Tell those kids NOT to turn that light off in the upstairs bathroom! "
That bathroom light controlled the light in the barn where the chickens were----Without that light, there would be no eggs for breakfast as his chickens wouldn't lay.
Of course, we always forgot----the light was always off in the morning and I would hear Grampa, "They did it again!"--
He also had cows beside the house----We would sit on his porch , and dangle our feet off the side, looking at the cow patties in that Pasteur-
I don't remember much talking to Gramma--She seemed to always be cooking ----(Go figure eh?)
I realize-now how much work my Mom and Dad must've caused her---descending upon them quite often with 5 children! -
Here they are in front of their house in Port Perry--
So why am I telling you all this?---I suppose because sometimes the world seems to be in a mess---It can get one "down"----But, you know--if we each try to spread happiness and love in our tiny space, perhaps one day----all these wee parts will be one huge happy space!
And if we all try extremely hard to be healthy--
Maybe these really will be ""CURES" for everything!
