Isn't this the beginning of the Thanksgiving weekend in the U.S.?
In Canada, we try to remember to watch the Macy's Day Parade.
My daughter who lives in Ohio, says everyone in the U.S watches football on Thanksgiving weekend---then after they eat their turkey, they go out and throw the football around on the front lawn.
I like this weekend, your Holiday few days, as there are usually old movies on T.V--like, "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles", my all time favourite!
We made the trip to the vet yesterday,-- a 45 minute drive up the highway--with 2 Germans (as in dogs) in the car . Of course Beau , the guy whose heart beats to a different drummer, being the most nervous guy in the entire universe, shivered and shook and pee-ed everywhere , as she took blood--
"He will never be a Police Dog", Dr Good said, as he continued to pee as her assistant kept the mop in hand!
The vet will call me this morning to tell me the blood results, but she does feel his heart is beating more regular, but now is concerned about the thickness of his blood.
Lord love a Duck!
Poor guy eh? -
So, to all Sparklers in the U.S---eat that turkey---turnip, mashed potatoes, cranberries--and walk it off-- Eight more big days to DECEMBER-
Beau says, "Remember to live each day----as if yer life depended on it-because it does you know!"
