Hello, my friends, Hello.

Saturday, December 10, 2016

Wow, it's been a long time since I signed in to sparkpeople. It's actually been a long time since I signed in to life. Winter is always rough for me. The holidays always bring loathing and dread, and this year was no exception. I'm up 8 lbs since my last weigh in, which is disappointing, but no surprise. I was actually sure that it was going to be more, so there is that...

I still can't wear my "flippers", so I'm limited to what I can eat. It has also kept me in the house a lot, but I did manage to pick up the flu on a venture to the vet this week. I'm doing a modified Brat diet, I guess I can call it the Bap diet (bananas, applesauce and potatoes) today. It's a good excuse to move back to a less sugar ladened processed food diet and get back on track.

My fosters Loki and Freya got adopted together last week.

Franny and Dumpling are my current short term fosters, keeping me somewhat sane during this turbulent time.

My intention is to come back and refocus my efforts on getting healthy. May you all find joy in the holiday season and peace in the coming year.

    The kittens are adorable.
I gained weight after our 5% Challenge ended, too. Yikes! Guess I haven't really made long term changes or allowed them to become permanent habits. This happens every time the challenge ends. Does that mean I'm doing it for the team instead of doing it for me?
I started a 30 day challenge now to get back to basics. I see you are on that challenge, too. Hope we both do well!

So your Nordic badboys/girls good adopted out... you are a very special person to provide a home/love for these kittens and then give them up. I bet you miss them. They look adorable.

Time to recommit. Sorry to hear about your stomach virus and the resulting brat diet. Hopefully you will be up to your old self tomorrow.

    Stay strong. emoticon

You're such a wonderful person fostering those precious kitties. Love those gray kitties, my favorite color for cats. Thank you for being you and providing a great start to all those fur babies.
