So, I am sick.
Yesterday the coughing, and intense pain in my ear and throat became more than i could stand any longer.
My doctors office was closed, so I went to the clinic at Walmart.
I almost left in the first 10 minutes, as I looked around at the 15 or so sitting in chairs waiting, ahead of me.
But I toughed it out and it wasnt so bad.
Only there about two hours, including picking up my medicine.
The nurse practitioner turned out to be very skilled and diagnosed me with strep throat and a middle ear infection.
I got antibiotics and cough pearls.
Which, by the way, havent worked very well. I coughed all night last night.
I am not in as much pain, thanks to ibuprofen but I am just overall achy and my head is busting.
I am going to spend today laying under a warm blanket, take a long hot epsom salt bath and watch Netflix.
I was given the cough pearls because my bp has been extremely high lately. And supposedly these have nothing in them that will cause it to get worse.
I have been monitoring my bp twice daily here at home and keeping a log for my cardiologist.
Of course, I think its the carafate they gave me for gerd, it only got higher after I began taking that and I havent taken it since Thursday.
So, time will tell I guess.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas. My family had our traditonal dinner and watched the little kids open gifts.
I made the turkey and dressing and it turned out really good, tender and not at all dry.
I am looking forward to the New Year and hoping it brings about good positive changes and more happiness for everyone.
I am going to focus this year on paying off a couple of small debts and get my finances in better shape.
As well as myself.
I have gained 5 lbs as I predicted, but I am not worried too much about it, as I stated, the weight loss was during a very bad sick time and I wasnt taking care of myself.
I look forward to eating healthier and getting back to the track.
Weight loss or not, I just look forward to walking,
