Reflection & New goals

As I reflect on 2016 on this night before we head into 2017 I realize how difficult and how rewarding this past year has been. It started with my husband Paul being confined to a wheelchair and ending with both of us being stronger than ever. We lost my mom and a dear friend (a parental figure) but we gained strength and wisdom. I have learned to deal with grief and happiness at the same time. My family has grown closer together and between my husband and myself we have lost 200 lbs this year. I'm looking forward to 2017 being a great year!

As the new year begins I am not making resolutions, as resolutions seem to get over looked. I am making true goals for the year. In many parts of my life I am making goals to make my 2017 productive.

My #1 goal that has to do with my weight and health is to hit my goal weight of 135 by my birthday on September 30th. Based on my current lost of 1 to 2 lbs a week, this is doable.

My #2 goal is to start & finish the C25K running program. Many years in the past I have said this, but this year...This year is the year I do this! emoticon

So, as I end this I will say that my starting weight for 2017 is:

205 lbs...I have not had a weigh in this low in over 15 years. I'm so thrilled with the progress I have made towards my goal.

    Today one of my plans is to look at 2016 and set some new goals for me for 2017. You post motivated me to do this and not just put it aside. Happy and Healthy 2017.
