January 25, 2017 FROM HIS GLORIOUS RICHES
We can't handle money how God wants us to unless we know Him and spend time with Him. God gives us what we need and wants to show us how to best use it. When we decide to use money how we want, God isn't going to supply all our needs from His glorious riches. He has a plan. He has a program. He has a direction for us to go and we can find His will when we decide to spend time with Him. Yes, spending time with God and getting into His word will help us to know how to better manage our time and money.
Philippians 4:19 "And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus." (NLT)
1. Write down where your money goes.
2. List the ways you could use your money to help others.
3. Get into God's word and pray about how to better use your money.
4. Look for ways to use what financial blessings you have to help others.
Dear Lord, we thank You for the promises You give us. We know You always deliver on Your promises. Help us today, Lord, to acknowledge You in all we do. Help us to spend time with You on our knees. Help us to read and understand Your word. Show us today, Lord, how to best use our time and money to serve You and help others. We want to live for You so You can take care of us. We give ourselves completely to You today. In Jesus' name. Amen.
God wants us to spend our money according to His will and not our own.
When we draw close to God and build a relationship with Him, we will know how to better spend our money.
God has a plan for us. His blessings for us are to be used according to His plan.
When we venture out our own spending our money our way, we lose so many blessings.
We harm ourselves when we choose to keep our money for ourselves.
Ecclesiastes 5:13 "There is another serious problem I have seen under the sun. Hoarding riches harms the saver." (NLT)
Keeping all we have to spend only on us is not good for us at all.
