It's been a roller coaster the last few years. Here is a recap.
Joined SparkPeople weighing 205 about 6 years ago, and did quite well. I didn't reach my goal, but I made it to the 160s.
Gained a considerable bit back when hubby was dealing with esophogeal cancer, and continued to gain after his death when I was dealing with depression.
Came back to SP last year and lost from 188 to 176, but my heart wasn't in it.
So now I'm at 182 and feeling like this is the time for me to get my body back under my control.
A couple of really good things that have happened to me over the past year:
At my daughter's suggestion I decided to squander my kid's inheritance and buy a condo at Panama City Beach. I love it! It's only an hour and 15 minutes from my home so I can go down for short trips on the spur of the moment, and the kids and grandkids are already enjoying it.
And then, 5 months ago, I started seeing a really wonderful guy. I've actually know him for years; his wife was a good friend, and after she passed away in 2015 he was devastated. One day at church something just clicked - he asked me to go to dinner and we've been together every day since then. Isn't it great to know that old people can find love?
So I have a lot of happiness in my life right now, and I want to be stronger and healthier so that I can enjoy it a very long time!
