So, I am in two challenges to recommit to me: the find 10 challenge and the small changes challenge. Wow: yesterday kicked my backside with the exercise portion. I went onto you-tube to try some exercise videos. I would so appreciate if someone would make a few and post them for those of us who are really out of shape emoticon .

I persisted and got through close to an hour of activity doing various videos. I found 10...and even though I felt like I was not going to make it through the process...I chose to carry-on. I work 12-hour shifts on a labor & delivery unit and I run my rear-end off three days in a row : Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays every week since my 9 year-old was in preschool. I was under the assumption that I had some level of fitness. I can walk until the cows come home...but you ask me to start doing more than that and wow emoticon


The key to success is playing the hand you were dealt like it was the hand you wanted...

We all have a back-story. Sometimes we get stuck in that story and feel like we cannot move forward. Sometimes when that story is difficult all we can do on a daily basis is help our family survive. I have had those years on and off since 1973. The choices I made may not always have been the best choices in that moment...but I did the best I knew how to do with the knowledge and life experience I had at the time.

As Maya Angelou said so eloquently, " When you know better...You do better."

So, today I am "clearing my mind of can't" and as Dr. Steve Maraboli said, " Everything is easier said than done. Wanting something is easy. Saying something is easy. The challenge and the reward are in the doing." We push through, we take action...one small motion at a time.

    I am a walker and can deal with it but when it comes to jumping and bouncing you can count me out. I can't handle it or push ups, etc. My doctor says at my age I need to limit it to walking, swimming, water aerobics, yoga, qigong, gentle dance.
